Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of any decent short game practice facilities in Essex. In particular I'm looking for a place that is Floodlit so that I can practice during the cold winter evenings. Thanks.

Rayleigh Golf range have baskets and floodlights. Also St Clares Hall in Stanford Le Hope have greens and different distances on their range.

why floodlit? i know that sevvy used to hit and listen as he was growing up,to substitute for the lack of sunlight when he was practising all day long,i tried that too and it helped my alot.or try parking your car behind where you are practising ,i did that alot as well ,(with the stereo on!also shouldn´t you be doing something more useful instead??

South Essex Golf Club has a floodlit driving range with baskets (not sure if your allowed to but I sometimes use the grass to the side of the bays for my short game) and they also have a practice putting green. (I've used it a few times simply for practice and the grren keeper seem okay about it.

Regards,
Tommy J
